Key Club
Chinook Kiwanis is proud to sponsor the Robert Thirsk High School Key Club. Chartered in 2014, this dynamic and committed group of teens has provided its members with opportunities to serve, build character, and develop leadership.
What is Key Club?
Sponsored by Kiwanis International, Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. It is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through service to others. Key Club has about 260,000 members in approximately 5,000 clubs. Key Club is represented in 31 countries.
Key Club members around the world learn how to lead and stand for what’s right through service and volunteerism. These high school students are making a positive impact as they serve others in their schools and communities. Their motto: WE CARE.
Although Key Club members receive guidance and support from adult volunteers, including faculty advisors, Kiwanis advisors and district administrators, it is a self-governing, student-led organization. They elect their student officers and learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects, and holding fundraisers.
