Stephen Peddle

​The club is saddened by the sudden loss of member Stephen Peddle on March 24, 2023.
Steve was born in Badger, Newfoundland. He lived, worked and met his wife Thelma in Newfoundland. In 1976 Steve and family moved to Ft. McMurray to work in the oil patch where they stayed until retirement. After retirement Steve and Thelma returned to Newfoundland for 7 years. At that time Steve became a member of the Carbonear Kiwanis Club. When Steve and Thelma returned to Calgary to be closer to their children and grandchildren, they both became strong members of our club. Both of them became members of the executive and helped with most projects. Steve liked to help at our bike preps and became known as the “flat tire guy”. Steve and Thelma helped to organize some of our more memorable social events, one being a Newfie dinner, complete with Screech and Kissing the Cod. Steve was a strong, quiet man of few words. His presence and “get ‘er done” attitude is definitely missed in our club.
